JOYCE MARIE MARTIN MCMILLAN

Joyce Marie McMillan peacefully transitioned at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the age of 71. She was a native of Pascagoula, MS and a resident of New Orleans, LA.  Joyce was affectionately known as the Cold Cup Lady in her community.  She loved spending time with family and friends cooking, dancing, singing and going to the Casino. Former wife of Phillip McMillian for 34 years. Devoted mother of Shon M. (Orin) Morris and Sherry C. Martin. Grandmother of Desmond J. Martin, Whitney S. Martin, and Cameron G. Morris. Great grandmother of Desmond Martin, Jr., and Deraji Dorsey. Daughter of the late Frank, Sr. and Bernice H. Martin. Sister of Philomena Riley, Errol J. Martin, Vivian Wayne Martin, Zachary Martin, and  the late Adelaide “Sister” Martin, Fannie Katherine Martin, Frank “Sonny” Martin, Jr., Sammy “Brother” Martin, Reginald Martin, Kenneth Martin, Sr., and John “Johnny” Wayne Martin. Godmother of Jamel Martin, Shawann Robert, and Ja̕Ton Martin, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
