James Marquette “Quetty” White entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 31, 2020. He was a native of Bridge City, LA and a resident of Algiers, LA.  Quetty, as he was affectionately known to family and friends was a former employee of Bailey’s Offshore Catering. Loving father of Pharis La’James Marquette White, Keimya Mitchell White and Ja’mya Spotville White.  Beloved son of Lorraine White Martin and the late James Martin, Jr. Grandson of Mary Louise White and the late James Martin, Sr., Geneva Jackson, and Robert “Bird Leg” White.  Brother of Robert J. White, Jermaine P. White, Andrea Royal, Debra Royal, and Olga Samuels. Nephews of Carolyn Kennedy, Elvira White, Michael Jackson, Arthur Williams, Louis White, and the late Cynthia Marie White.   Cousin of the late Titus White.  Special friend of Anthony Griffin and Dorian Lewis. James is also survived by his devoted companion Ashley Steele, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.
