Herman Joseph Derouen

Herman J. Derouen entered into eternal rest at Passages Hospice in New Orleans on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the age of 80.  He was a native of New Iberia, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Herman graduated from Jonas Henderson High School in New Iberia, and served four years in the United States Air Force.  He was a retired operator with Witco Corporation. Beloved husband of the late  Florence Smith Derouen. Stepfather of  Stephen Marshall and the late Rodney Marshall. Son of the late Junius and Eva Boutte Derouen.  Brother of Raymond Derouen of St. Martinville, LA, Roland (Bernadette) Derouen of New Iberia, LA, Patricia (Gilbert) George of New Iberia, LA,  Barbara (Raymond) Armelin of Baldwin, LA,  Peter (Aurelia) Derouen  of Duson, LA,  Gloria (Ernest) Broussard of New Iberia, LA,  Mary (Ronald) Gordon of Lafayette, LA and the late Wilbert and JoAnn, also survived by host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of St. Anthony Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Catholic Church 924 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00a.m. Father Gary Copping Celebrant.
