Wilson Wade, III departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the age of 56. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Wilson attended Oliver Perry Walker High School. Shortly thereafter, he worked as a welder at Avondale Shipyard. He later graduated from Coastal Truck Driving School and began a rewarding career as a professional truck driver. Through his work, Wilson traveled to many places across the country and often returned home with unique keepsakes and stories from his journeys which he would share with his wife. Wilson was an active and faithful member of Come Into the Light Ministries (CITL). He was an avid basketball and football fan, especially cheering for the New Orleans Saints. Wilson also found joy in family gatherings, participation in community events, and socializing with his friends. He will forever be remembered for his beautiful contagious smile, warm spirit, and kind heart. Loving husband of 16 years to Nikita Allen Wade. Beloved son of Wilson Wade, Sr. and Patricia Wade. Grandson of the late Wilson (Maggie) Wade, Sr., Mildred Hodges, and Edgar Mosley. Devoted brother of Michael (Santrice), Patrick, and Craig (Ronika) Wade. Nephew of Carla Lambert, Christine Aaron, Edward Hodges, Ronnie (Nina) Hodges, Ronald (Donna) Hodges, Harold (Debra) Woods, Paul Smith, and the late Serina Woodary, Tyrone Hodges, and Joseph Woods. Son-in-law of Wilbert Allen, Jr. and the late Sandra Wilson Allen. Wilson is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Come Into the Light Ministries, Life Center Cathedral, God of Love Outreach Christian Center, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Anthony Taplin, Sr., officiating.
