WILSON GOFFNER, SR.

Wilson Goffner entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the age of 75. He was a native of Ferriday, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Wilson was a graduate of Servier High School class of 1968. He was employed with Avondale Shipyard for 35 years and Bollinger for over 25 years.Devoted husband of 52 years to Willie Jean Goffner. Loving father of Keith Goffner, Wilson Goffner, Travis Goffner, Eric (Kristy) Goffner, Kriscie Sherrbia, Ashley (Leroy) Gaddis, and the late Michael Rashaud Goffner. Grandfather of Keichell Goffner, Brianna Jackson, Lakeitha Flemmings, Keira (Olie) Gipson, Keira Flemmings, Keianha Goffner, Keiasia Goffner, Kenndie Goffner, Kayla Manuel, Makata Myles, Ariel Sherrbia, Caki Edwards, Mettrick Dubar, Kai Black, Keith Flemming, D’michael Woods Goffner, Michael Jefferson and the late Keith Williams. Great grandfather of Dallas Myles, Jelaine Myles, Leah Gaddis, Ihonesty Donald, Royal Gaddis, Jayla Green, Raura Green, Deaverly Sherrbia, and Zontrell. Son of the late Willie “Manchild” Goffner and Louise “Easter” Jones Goffner. Brother of Gloria (the late Clemmie), Barbara Ann Goffner (the late Archie), Flora (Curtis) Barbara, Marilyn (Darrell) Birdon, Debra Harris, Gayle Goffner, Willie (Pauline) Goffner III, Curtis Goffner, and the late Ruby Scott, Rosetta Goffner, and Ernest Goffner. Uncle of the late Curtis Barbra. Son in law of Pastor James Houston and the late First lady Georgia Mae Davis Houston. Wilson is also survived by 5 sisters in law, 2 brothers in law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Household of Faith and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Household of Faith 2074 Paxton Dr. Harvey, LA on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Antoine Barriere Host Pastor - Apostle Terry Gullage officiating.
