Willie "Bill" Clarks Jr. entered eternal rest at his residence, surrounded by his loving family and friends, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the age of 73. He was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Bill was a proud graduate of West Jefferson High School. A skilled carpenter by trade, he dedicated many years to his craft, working throughout the New Orleans Metropolitan Area. His workmanship and strong work ethic left a lasting mark on countless homes and businesses. Though Bill has departed this earthly life, his strength, laughter, unwavering spirit, and love for his family will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Loving father of Willie Clarks III, Lorraine W. (Joseph) Mouton, Johnell Williams, Shantelle Clarks, L'Tanya Clarks, Veanca Clarks Childs, Brandon Clarks, Tennille Coleman, Jasper Harris, Willette Harris, Emiko Harris (Darien) Johnson, and the late Quentin Williams. Beloved son of the late Willie "Daddy Willie" Clarks Sr. and Mary "Momma Mary" Wing Clarks. Grandson of the late Mary Osborne. Brother of Joycelyn Clarks Williams; Darryl Clarks; Murphy (Vanessa) Clarks, Gary (Lynette) Clarks, Royal Clarks, and Carlton Clarks. Cherished nephew of Vonnie Wing Williams. Father in law of the late Gene Childs Sr. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. The family acknowledges with heartfelt gratitude, his special companion Bessie Stokes, nephew James Patrick Williams, and Loresa Clarks who remained faithfully by his side until the very end. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Impact Christian Center, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and True Love Full Gospel Ministry are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Rock of Ages Baptist Church 6533 Acre Road Marrero, LA on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Terrence A. Ranson Sr., Host Pastor - Rev. Dr. Melvin Jones III of Willing Workers Missionary Baptist Church and Second Good Shephard Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery -Westwego, LA.
