WILLIE LEE ANDREWS

Willie Lee Andrews, Sr. peacefully departed this life on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 4:05 p.m. surrounded by his loving family at the Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS.  He was a native of Utica, MS, former resident of Marrero, LA until Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and presently residing in Laurel, MS. Willie was a graduate of West Jefferson High School.  He was employed by McCoys Building Supply as a Yard Supervisor, in Laurel, MS. Willie’s favorite colors were black and gold because he loved the New Orleans Saints.
Loving father of Willie Lee, Jr. of Covington, LA, Cornell Lee (Yolonda), Kinte Lee, and Cory Lee all of Marrero, LA., LaKisha Lynn, Tiasa Lynn, and Latrice Lynn. Grandfather of the late RonKeith Andrews, and Demaya Hayes. Great grandfather of Maleah Harvey. Son of the late Clarence, Sr., and Mattie Andrews. Grandson of the late Frank and Laura Jones, John Clay, and Annie Bell Walker. Brother of Bettye Jean Andrews of NY, Clarence Andrews Jr. of VA, Bertha Lee Andrews, Ann (Willis) Baptiste, Della (Donald Ray) Ross, James Albert Andrews, Tina Marie Andrews, and Lora (Robert) Gibson, Sr. Former husband of Sheila Andrews. Longtime companion of 17 years to LaNita Patrick of Laurel, MS., also survived by 23 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Jerusalem Baptist Church 414 Westwego Ave. Bridge City, LA on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor George Davis Host Pastor - Pastor Lilton McQuarter officiating.
