WILLIAM RICHARD PERKINS

William Richard Perkins entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the age of 49. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. William was a 1993 graduate of John Ehret High School and he attended Costal Driving School in Hammond, LA. He was owner and operator of M.A.M Logistic LLC Trucking Company. William was a faithful member of New Life Christian Ministries Apostle Doctrine Church. Beloved husband of Theresa Bowie Perkins. Loving father of William Young, Cedrick Bowie, and Taranika Crump. Son of William Perkins, Jr., and the late Marjorie Marshall-Perkins and Kenneth Peterson. Grandson of the late Richard Marshall, Julia L. Marshall, and Marilyn P. Adams. Brother of Joseph M. Perkins, Steven Z. Perkins, Philip L. Peterson, Eddie Peterson, Ne-Kwan Perkins-Dickens, and Joella Peterson-Taylor. William is also survived by his godchildren Cora Wiltz and Karléi Bowie also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Life Christian Ministries Apostle Doctrine Church, St. Paul Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1509 Monroe Street Gretna, LA on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Orin Grant, host pastor; Pastor Willie Moten, Jr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
