WAYNE RAYMOND BUTLER

Wayne Raymond Butler entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the age of 69. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  Wayne was a graduate of Jefferson Parish School System, and he was a retired employee of Avondale Shipyard as a first-class welder. Beloved husband of the late Chical “Doretha” Berry Butler. Loving father of Karen Brown and Tanashia Butler. Devoted son of Mildred Johnson Butler, and the late Vernon R. Butler, Sr. Stepson of the late Irvin A. Butler who raised him. Brother of Kevin (Janice) Butler, Craig L. (Janet) Butler, Diedre B. (Karl)  Davis, Patrice B. (Victor) Sims, and the late Vernon R. Butler, Jr., also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
