Minister Wandra Faye Bolden Hardy transitioned peacefully into her eternal home on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the age of 66. She was a native of Luling, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Wandra was a graduate of Hahnville High School Class of 1973, and she received a bachelor’s degree at Grambling State University in Education. She later earned a master’s degree at Xavier University. Wandra was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Mrs. Hardy was a retired educator with the St. Charles and Jefferson Parish School System for 37 years.
Beloved wife of 36 years to Thomas Hardy. Stepmother of Thomas Hardy, Jr., Shatara Edmond, Kenneth Odom, and Jhonnitta Redman. Daughter of the late Rev. John Bolden, Sr., and Estelle Charles Bolden. Sister of the late Dorothy Moore, Jearlean Dorsey, Deloris Bolden, Ellen Bolden, Sandra “Sue” Roussell, Ruth Bolden, Marva Bolden, John Bolden, Jr., Heary “Bing” Bolden, and Gary Bolden. Godmother of Kamariah Allen. Sister-in-law of Lydia R. Bolden, Julie Ann Bolden, Ophelia White, Barbara Lamine, and Janet Morrow, also survived by 6 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
