VINCENT GUIENT SR

Vincent “Rev./TV Man” Guient, Sr., age 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. He was a native of Leonville, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Vincent was a graduate of St. Peter Claver High School in Grand Coteau, LA. He was a proud veteran of the United Sates Air Force. Following his military service, he worked as an electrical technician and was known repairing electronics efficiently and cost friendly. His skill and dedication touched many lives, and he took pride in his work. Vincent will be remembered for his bright smile, strong presence, willingness to share knowledge, and always quick to tell a story. His legacy of strength, love and laughter will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched. Devoted father of Vincent Guient, Jr. Damien Waller, Christi (Sama) Tolbert, Christopher, Guient, Chrischel (Joseph) Butler, Chrischon Guient, Christon (Monica) Guient, Chrishona Guient, and Joshua Guient. Loving grandfather of Josiah Butler, Destiny Jones, Nevaeh Jemison, Nylah Jemison, Nyari Jemison, and Storm Seals. Son of the late Valentine, Sr. and Laura Guient. Brother of the late Joe Guient, Valentine “Val” Guient, Jr., Jospeh “Thomas” Guient, Alvirtha Etienne, and Katherine Guient. Beloved uncle of Laura Guient, whom he loved as a sister. Son-in-law of Elaine Dent. Brother-in-law of Delvis (Lilly) Mouton, Chandler (Polly) Mouton, Joyce Guient, Kenyattie Owens, Melinda Dent, and Miranda Dent. Vincent is also survived by the mothers of his children, Maxine Smith, Dollie Kemp, Juanita Simmons, Amanda McIntyre, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Loren Lovely, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.
