Vincent Gilmore entered into eternal on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the age of 55. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Baldy as he was affectionately known by family and friends was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and a self-employed scrap man. Devoted companion of Angela Smith. Beloved father of Monique Gilmore, and Dashion (Kedric) William. Loving grandfather of Ariah William, Alton Patterson, III, and Braylon Leminux. Son of Olivia (Dempsey) Lewis, and Haywood Clofer, Sr. Stepson of Lois Clofer and the late Wilford Lewis. Grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dempsey Gilmore, and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Clofer, Sr. Brother of Natalie (Oscar) Valentine, Roxanne (Gregory) Carter, Lesile (Michael) Gilmore, Tamil Gilmore, Letersha (Travis) Green, Linda Clofer Burns, Patty Martin (Sidney) Clofer, Sylvia Clofer Wilkins, Troy Lynn Proctor, Scaccia (Don) Murphy, Corneilous (Theresa) Gilmore, Michael (Charmine) Gilmore, Kenneth (Courtney) Lewis, James (Daria) Clofer, Haywood Clofer, Jr., Tyrone Clofer, David and Derrick Proctor, Edwards and Christopher Williams. Nephew of Debra Walker, Carol (Donald) Clark, Rosalie Beckwith, Karrie Clofer, Hazel Clofer, Betty Love, Ernest Gilmore, Joe Louis Gilmore, Willard Clofer and the late Thurman Gilmore, Jack Gilmore, Jr., Rev. Alton Walker, Leroy Clofer, Sr., Willis Clofer, Erneal Clofer, Sr., Adam Clofer, Sr., Bobby Clofer, and Lorraine Gilmore. Devoted uncle of Jamika Gilmore, Chante’ William, Desmond (Lakeisha) Jasmin and the late Trent Gilmore, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Rock Baptist Church, Mt. Calvary International Worship Center, Second Zion Baptist Church, and New Salem C.O.C. H.; employees of Golden Meadow, EMR, DWB Scrap Yards, and Mechanics at ABC Building are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at True Hope Ministries 1228 Cohen St. Marrero, LA. on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Rev. Bernard Dyer officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery, Westwego, LA.
