Victor Lamar Hills entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the age of 70. He was a native of McComb, MS and a resident of Harvey, LA. He attended John H. Martyn High School and was employed as Chef for many years. He was affectionately known as “Cool Uncle” and “Cat Daddy.” Victor was an active and faithful member of Fischer Community Church, where he severed as an usher. Victor enjoyed cooking, fishing, riding and repairing bicycles, traveling, and spending time with family. Beloved husband of 17 years to Sheila Brown Hills. Devoted father of Urania Coleman, Victor (Ariel) Williams, and Kendrick Williams. Stepfather of Mishekia Brown (Herbert) Thompson, Rondell Brown, Randon A. (Maya) Brown, Sr., and the late Porsha Stevenson, and Warren Stevenson. Proud grandfather of Nevaeh Napoleon, Jakhai Odoms, Melody Williams, Harmony Williams, and Steven Coleman. Son of the late Levi and Dorothy G. Hills. Loving brother of Tommye Hills, Linda Hall, Carol Hills, Louis (Vernita) Hills, Darryl (Olicia) Hills, Nelson (Sue) Selico, and the late Willie (Cathy) Hills. Godson of the late Aletha Hills and Henry Allen. Godfather of Rene Peterson and the late Leandre Selico. Victor is also survived by his devoted friend Derrick Crosby and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, church family, and dear friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
