VERNON CHARLES ALLEN

Vernon Allen departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the age of 60. He was a native of Houston, TX and a resident of Westwego, LA. Vernon was educated in the Houston Public School System. He was employed as a Plumber. Husband of the late Pam Allen. Companion of the late Brenda Joyce Jackson. Father of Velicia Lee, Thrishawn Houston, Rechker Houston, Inika Houston, Mark Houston, and the late Warren Houston. Beloved son of the late Barbara A. Allen and George Struggs, Jr. Brother of Dorletha Allen (Mitchell) Love, David (Evette) Struggs, Tanya Struggs, Melony Allen and the late Lois E. Allen and George Allen. Vernon is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery, 9820 Nine Mile Point Rd. West Westwego, LA on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30a.m. until service time. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA
