VELMA JUANITA YOUNG

Velma Juanita Young entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the age of 73. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Marrero, LA. Velma was a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1969. She was a former employee of Belle Chasse State School as an RTS. Beloved daughter of the late Wallace Young, Sr. and Margaret Booker Young. Granddaughter of the late Alex and Rosa Booker, Tucker and Mary Young. Loving sister of Teddy, Kenneth, Wallace, Jr., Wielene, Annette, and Carolyn, and the late Eugene Lords. also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 10:30a.m. Rev.
