Ursula Cuillier Johnson was called home by the Lord on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the age of 61. She was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Ursula graduated from Immaculata High School class of 1977. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Xavier University of Louisiana, class of 1986. Ursula earned a master’s in education from Stephen Austin in Nacogdoches, TX class of 1998, and she was head of the Math Department in Louisiana and Texas. She retired in 2019 as an Assistant Principal from the Klein Independent School District, and of course she returned as a substitute Assistant Principal the very next school year. Loving wife of Lonnie Johnson for 28 years. Devoted mother of Derek C. Johnson. Stepmother of Lenita ‘Melissa’ Johnson (Frankie) Thompson. Grandmother of Mila Jett Johnson. Daughter of the late Joseph A. Cuillier, Sr. and Ruby Jones Cuillier. Sister of Joseph A. Cuillier, Jr. (Alison Scott), Helen G. Cuillier (Willie North) and Cory M. Cuillier (Chandra Johnson). Granddaughter of the late Sam and Ethel Jones, Louis and Geneva Cuillier. She will always be remembered by Joseph III (Shani), Christen (Jarrel), Caitlyn, Sydney, Julian, Jaylen, Jace, Baldwin and Helen Handy (Judge). Niece of the late Sam, Ernest and Gerald Jones, and Sr. Helen Cuillier. Daughter in law of the late Tommie and Lola Johnson. Ursula will be missed by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday January 21, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Father Sidney Speaks Celebrant.
Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m., Recitation of Rosary 8:45a.m., Followed by Tribute. Interment: St. Louis #3 Cemetery-New Orleans, LA.
