Threntha Lynn Ratliff-Etienne, age 65, entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Friday, April 17, 2026. She was a native of Bogalusa, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Threntha was a graduate of Bogalusa Senior High School and employed with the New Orleans Fireman’s Federal Credit Union as a Branch Manager. Beloved wife of Severin Etienne. Loving mother of Antonia Ratliff, Temika Ratliff, and the late Wyntar Ratliff. Cherished grandmother of Jerome Ratliff, Diamond Wilson, Dai’Quan Ratliff, Mya Magee, Mia Magee, Clyde Smith, Jr., Clyciara Smith, Kartel Ratliff, Jameka Ratliff, Brian Jenkins, Jr., Brandon Jenkins, and the late Brianna Ratliff. Daughter of the late Bertha Ratliff-Peters and Royan Burris. Loving sister of Darlene Ratliff-Wilkerson, Sonya Ratliff-Noil, Cloreinda Turner, Latoi Perkins, Larissa Gaskin, Shawn Hutchinson, Dawn Davis, Bertha Williams, Tonyah Jefferson, Letrin Burris, Allan Ratliff, Terry Buchanan, Erskin Burris, Royan Morris, Lexworth Burris, Brandon Jefferson, and Kelton Strickland. Niece of Maxine Ratliff-Bearden and Benton Ratliff. Daughter-in-law of Anna Mae Etienne. Sister-in-law of Sherman Wilkerson, Pastor Steven Turner, Wayne Jenkins, Robert Davis, Apostle Tonya Ratliff, Sabrina Berry, Joyce Buchanan, Renee Burris, and Kollett Morris. Also cherishing her memories are 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mount Hermon Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of New Orleans Fireman’s Federal Credit Union are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 3512 US Hwy 90W, Avondale, LA on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Darold A. Ingram, Jr., host pastor; Pastor Steven J. Turner of Pentecostal Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
