THERESA R. PAYNE

Theresa Payne, a homemaker, entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the age of 71. She was a native of Toledo, OH and a resident of Marrero, LA. Theresa was a high school graduate that was formerly employed as a clerk, salesperson and manager. Beloved wife of Paul Payne. Devoted mother of the late Heather Champagne. Doting grandmother of Alexis Payne, Gwen Payne, Lacey Payne, Annabelle Champagne, and Morgan Champagne. Great-grandmother of Patrick Dugan. Daughter of the late Sigmund Rottenstein and Mary (Paul) Wenzlaff. Loving sister of Ann Rush, David Roberts, and the late Micky Jones, Kerry Rottenstein, and Robert Wenzlaff. Daughter-in-law of Lucille Fairchild and the late Elmo Fairchild. Sister-in-law of Jay Jones, Annette Payne, and the late Wallace Rush. Theresa is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Private services were held.
