THERESA BRENDA POWELL WARE

Theresa Brenda Powell Ware entered eternal rest at her residence on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 82. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Theresa was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School. She was a retired cook with Visko’s Restaurant, a former nurse assistant with Charity Hospital, and she was also employed with Mr. Sparkle Janitorial Service. Beloved mother of Carla, Denise, Debbie, and Troy “Joe Green” Ware, and the late Sherry Ware, Edward Ware, Kenard Ware, and Derrick Ware. Grandmother of the late Reginald Ware. Daughter of the late Emanuel Powell, Sr. and Orelia Ross Powell. Sister of Alicia Powell, also survived by 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 1246 Leboeuf St. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10: 00a.m. Pastor Dudley Watson officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
