Sterling Joseph Brignac, age 56, departed this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Ponchatoula, LA. Sterling was employed in the construction industry. Forever love of Michele W. Brignac. Proud father of Kohi Brignac (Keshon) Leonard. Cherished grandfather of Prince S. Leonard. Beloved son of Stafford Brignac, Sr. and Elaine Smith. Stepson of the late Idell “Sug” Brignac, who was instrumental in his rearing and whom he loved as a mother. Grandson of the late Albert J. Smith, Sr., Juanita Price Smith, Evans Brignac, and Hilda Brignac. Devoted brother of Stafford (Kanettra) Brignac, Jr., Schwann Brignac, Brittany Brignac, Frank (Yolanda) Cypress, and the late Travis Cypress, Minnie and Alondra King. Bonus Brother of Cheryl Jones. Son-in-law of the late Henry and Florence Williams. Brother-in-law of George Williams, Annette Williams, Cheryl (Cedric) Mosely, Valencia Williams, Shawntie Williams, and Troy Mallard; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Hosanna Fellowship Church, St Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L.
