SIDNEY JOSEPH WEBER, JR

Rev. Sidney Joseph Weber, Jr. entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the age of 85. He was a native of Vacherie, LA and a longtime resident of Marrero, LA. Rev. Weber was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School. He was employed for many years as a Plant Manager for the Jefferson Parish School Board. He also worked as a landscaper for Jim and Louise Moffette. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he was a dedicated member of Westside Missionary Baptist Association and proudly severed on the Louisiana Horticulture Board. Beloved husband of the late Ruby Steib Weber. Devoted father of Lori Weber Tureaud (Monte). Loving grandfather of Wayne Tureaud, Jr. and Sydney (Terry) Edwards. Son of the late Sidney Joseph Weber, Sr. and Permillia Carter Weber. Grandson of the late Earnest, Sr. and Agnes Carter, Melligan and Blanche A. Weber. Brother of Larry (Debra) Weber, Melvin (Mary) Weber, Jacqueline Weber Francis, and the late Nathalie W. Levy, Earnest Weber, Sr., Elaine Steib, Albert Weber, Sr., and Michael Weber, Sr. Brother-in-law of the late Raymond Steib, Nathaniel Levy, Sr. and Leroy Francis. Godfather of Monica Jackson, Kristin S. Gros, Paul Weber, and the late Sharon Favorite. Rev. Weber is also survived by his devoted niece Karen Levy, his beloved fur babies Journee and Georgio, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, host pastor; Pastor Ernest Weber, Jr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
