SHATOYA LATRELL LEAGER

Shatoya Latrell Leager departed this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the age of 41. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Shatoya was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School Class of 1999. She was employed with New Orleans Convention Center in customer service. Lifelong partner of Ray Champagne. Devoted mother of Shatierra Leagea, Karione Leagea, Kyranee’ Leagea, KeShairia Leagea, Jaylen Leagea, and the late Jayden Leagea Champagne. Daughter of Rufus Gordon, Jr. and Antoinette Leagea. Granddaughter of the late Edward, Sr. and Mary Ann Blanche, Rufus, Sr. and Nelly Whitefield Gordon. Sister of Darryl, Kevin, Kelvin, Rufus, Rudy, Tiwana, Shanta, and Britnee, also survived by 7 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
