Sharon Lynette Coler Dixon passed away peacefully at University Medical Center on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the age of 62. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Sharon was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School and had an extensive background in cosmetology and medical assistance. She was employed as a day care teacher for 12 years with Joan’s Day Care. Sharon enjoyed fashion, music, art, and traveling. Her favorite hobbies were drumming, gaming, knitting, shopping, and spoiling her son and grandsons. She found great joy in cooking and baking, often expressing her love through homemade meals and sweet treats shared with family and friends. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness. Sharon will be remembered for her kind spirit, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to her family. Beloved wife of 32 years to Ronnie Dixon, Sr. Devoted mother of Ronnie Dixon, Jr. (Irael Davis), Tracy Dixon, and Rachelle (Alvis) Neal. Doting grandmother of Royal Dixon and Zaron Dixon. Daughter of the late Elma H. Coler and Barker James. Loving sister of Lydia Johnson, Shirlean McGinnis, Christina Coler, and the late Ruby, Geraldine, and Clarence Coler, Jr. Honorable aunt of Kavodas Johnson. Special Cousin of Yvonne Harris. Goddaughter of Thelma Hunter. Godmother of Kristin Johnson. Godsister of Tyra (Otis) Allen. Daughter-in-law of the late Robert and Doris Dixon. Sister-in-law of the late Joan Marie Dixon (Walter) Black, Robert Van (Dianne) Dixon, and Terrence Gene (Carol) Dixon. Also cherishing her memories are her best friends Tina Bailey and Samatha Boudreaux, her confidant Ms. Walker, 10 additional grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, and dear friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
