Royal Edwin Clark, Jr., transitioned to eternal rest on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the age of 44. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Royal was a graduate of John Ehret High School. Choo Choo, as he was affectionately known to all excelled in sports and basketball was his absolute favorite. He was very involved at PARD Playground (Marrero) where he regularly showed off his basketball skills and he received many awards and trophies in recognition of his skills. Devoted father of Royal Edwin Clark, III, and Ja’Neka Wilson. Loving son Royal, Sr. and Catherine Clark. Grandson of the late Curtis and Rita Carter, Willie and Mary Clark. Brother of Lakitta and Edwin Clark, Christina Collins, and India Lee. Uncle of Cue and Quinn Jeffery, and Amere Clark, Azariah M. Collins. Nephew of Barbara Carter, Stephanie C. Adams, Patricia Adams, Jocelyn C. Williams, Curtis Sr., Ronnie, and Carlton Carter, Gary, Darryl, Bill, and Murphy Clark and the late Steve and Michael Carter. He was a father figure to Yan’Ke Hogan, and also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
