ROSEMARY WATSON PREVOST

Rosemary Watson Prevost entered eternal rest at her residence surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the age of 92. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Rosemary was a graduate of Rosenwald High School in Marrero, LA and Stevenson Beauty Academy of New Orleans, LA. She was employed with the Jefferson Parish Public School System and the Jefferson Parish Junior Deputies until her retirement. Rosemary owned and operated her own beauty salon and was the proud co-owner of PreJaBu Boutique. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Prevost. Devoted mother of Kevin, Sr., Kenneth, Sr. (Joycelyn), Kirk (Dana), Youlandar, and Kyle (Judge Sharlayne) Prevost, and the late Kornell Prevost. Grandmother of the late Keondra A. Prevost. Daughter of the late Eli Watson and Fannie Williams Watson. Sister of Betty Martin, Sophia (Archie) Campbell, Patricia (Herbert) James, Willie Watson, and the late Augustine Forbes, Helen and Olevia Gipson, Gloria Williams, Ethel Thompson, Herbert, Eli, Harold, and Stephen Watson. Rosemary is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, Mt. Calvary International Worship Center, and neighboring churches, employees of Primerica, LSU Health Care Network, Second Parish Division A in Jefferson Parish, United States Postal Service and St. Luke Hospice are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mt. Calvary International Worship Center, 1600 Westwood Dr. Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating Apostle Terry Gullage Host Pastor.
