Rosalyn Elizabeth Batiste left this earth at Touro Infirmary LCMC Health on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 69. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Rosalyn was an honor graduate of Alcee Fortier High School and continued her education at the University of New Orleans, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. She was employed with the Paralegal department at UNO downtown as an administrative assistant, where her dedication and hard work were deeply recognized. Beloved mother of Andre Batiste, Terrence Batiste, Stephen Batiste, and Anthony Batiste (Shiline). Grandmother of Jahmai Batiste, Arianna Batiste, and Laylah Batiste. Daughter of the late Norwood and Lucille Williams Batiste. Granddaughter of the late Equator and Albert Batiste, Mable Edwards, Romalice and Gloria Williams. Great granddaughter of the late Sylvia Stewart, Mary Nelson Batiste, Angelle Williams, Adline Thomas Williams, Robert (Pop) Williams, Squire Williams, and Fermin Batiste Sr. Sister of Sandra Batiste Singleton, Brian Batiste (Sedalia), Barry Batiste (Monique), Mark Batiste (Terrilyn), Winfred Stewart, and the late Adrian Batiste Jenkins, and Michael Norwood Batiste. Devoted aunt of Angelle Batiste Nailor and the late Ryan and Devon Batiste. Niece of Inez Mayho, Cheryl Bartholomew, Margaret Davis, Herbert Williams, Marie Christoff, Helen Christoff, Anna Mae Solomon, Paula Williams, Claudia Allen, Trenise Simmons, Lloyd (Ray) Williams, and Romalice Williams, Jr. Great niece of Edith Johnson. Sister in law of Antoinette Batiste. Goddaughter of the late Thomas Johnson and Oliivia Edwards. Preceded in death by aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, and she is survived by numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Evangelist Melonie Pichon, officiating.
