ROMALICE ANDERSON

Romalice Anderson, age 87, affectionately known as “Ed” or “Tough Ed”, departed this life on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at his residence. He was a native of Edgard, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Romalice attended McDonogh 35 High School until his senior year, when he was drafted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged. Romalice was the former owner and operator of Ed’s Bar. Beloved husband of the late Larita Anderson. Loving father of Renita Anderson (Marvin) Pounders. Son of the late Edward and Velma Anderson. Devoted brother of Ethel Mae Fazande, Patricia Ann Anderson, and the late Lawrence (Carolyn) Shepherd, Jr., Larry, Alvin, and Michael (Eunice) Anderson, and Sandra (Samuel, Sr.) Black. Son-law of the late James Brown and Mildred Brown. Brother-in-law of Lyle Brown, Lois Maxine Brown, Linda Brown, Lenora Griffin, and the late Larry and Louis Brown. Romalice is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Life Center FGBC, True Vine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Bishop J.
