RODNEY JACKSON

Rodney Jackson closed the final chapter of his life on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the age of 62. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Rodney was educated in Orleans Parish Public School System, and he was an avid Saints fan. Son of the late Eli, Sr. and Bertha Ruffin Jackson. Grandson of the late Henry and Josephine Ruffin, Manuel, and Mary Jackson. Brother of Marcello, Joann, Kermit “Jap”, and Eli Jackson, and the late Cynthia Jackson Anderson, Laverne Jackson, Eli, Jr. “Sonny)” Wallace, and Kenneth Jackson. Uncle of Chevelle (Deon) Gaines, Chantell (Lester) Perkins, Jasmine Jackson, Marlon Jackson, Larrime Jackson, Justin Jackson, Charles Robinson and the late LaChandra Michelle Jackson, and Kenneth Jackson, Jr. Nephew of Alberta, Celeste, and Viola Ruffin and the late Audrey Duplesis, Henrietta Jackson, Joyce Lewis, Hannah Prince, Alberta Anderson, Henry, Sr., Wilbert, and Joseph Ruffin, Manuel, Jr., and August Jackson. Brother-in-law of Joyce and Lillian Jackson, also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Word of Truth Fellowship and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Word of Truth Fellowship 5333 Tullis Dr. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
