Richard Jackson entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the age of 67. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Gretna, LA. Richard was a retired worker with the City of Gretna, and he was a dedicated worker at J.J. Seafood where he enjoyed working with his brothers. Loving husband of Laura M. Jackson. Devoted father of Richard (Monte), Jackson, Jr., Jerrone B. (Cylissa) Joseph, Reshona Jackson, Janae M. Peterson, and Karren (Michael) Guient. Grandfather of Richard Jackson, III, Mia Jackson, Demarqual Jackson, Keetron Rasco, Jr., Deshun Rasco, Laila Joseph, Dayzion Guient, Trevion Guient, Mykal Dickson, and the late Araion L. Guient. Great grandfather of Kamari Rasco, Kabella Rasco, Aubrie Gumms, Aleah Gumms, Malaya Jeanpierre, Eddriane Jackson, and Jalani Guient. Son of the late Joseph (Buck) Jackson and Dorothy M. Morgan. Brother of Carl Jackson, Sr., James Jackson, Micheal (Amanda Sue) Jackson, Sr., Graylin Jackson, and the late Joseph Jackson, Jr. Brother in law of Yolanda (Amos) Henry, Sidney Coleman, Leslie Landry, John (Daisy) Johnson, and the late Venessa Jackson and Diane Jackson, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
