Rhenda Floyce “Lil Baby” Goins fell asleep in the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 70. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Rhenda was a 1974 graduate of L. B. Landry High School. Rhenda was a proud and devoted military wife, who embraced the adventure of traveling the world, creating lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories with her family along the way. She enjoyed shopping and collecting various knickknacks from her travel around the world. After returning to New Orleans, she became a loyal and dedicated employee of Walmart for over 10 years, before retiring. After retiring, she found joy in what mattered most, caring for her family and creating a home filled with love. Beloved wife of SFC McKinley Goins, Jr. Devoted mother of McKinley Goins III, LaShonta Goins, Chad Goins, Chaz Goins, and the late Ashonta Goins. Bonus mother of Helen “Muffin” Jefferson and Lonnie Smith. Doting grandmother of McKinley Goins IV, Kayla Johnson, Kensley Johnson, Kyra Johnson, Kayden Bell, K’asia Bell, Preston Goins (his mother (Keieshawn Golsby), Jianna Graham, and the late Kwame Morris and Jackson Noah Goins. Great grandmother of Lyric Johnson. Daughter of the late Levi and Helen Smith. Granddaughter of the late Leontine Augustine, Lloyd Williams, Samuel and Susie B. Smith. Loving sister of Brenda Green, Flenda (Nat) Patterson, of Gonzales, TX, Wenda (Virdis) Mackel, Lori (Robert) Harrison, Trenda Toney, Kenda (James) Gibbs of Ocean Springs, MS, Quenda Smith, Venda Dixon, Levi (Venise) Smith, Jr., and the late Glenda Channey, Zenda Smith, Louis “Vernon” Smith, and Linda Horton. Niece of SGT First Class (Ret.) Raymond (Tennie) Williams, Katherine Causey, Georgia Williams, Annie Williams of Gonzales, TX, and Yvonne Williams of Montgomery, AL. Rhenda is also survived her 2 bonus sisters Sallie (Louis) Mallory and Lavern Nettles Smith, and a host of her nieces and nephews who she was affectionately known as “TeeBaby”, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2500 Louisa Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00a.m. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
