Raymond Hicks entered eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the age of 60. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Waggaman, LA. Raymond was employed as a Distribution Tech, and he was formerly employed as an electrician. Beloved husband of Karen Hicks. Loving father of Casey Viney, Devin Vining, and Corin Johnson, Sr. Son of the late James Hicks, Sr., and Cora Lee Hicks. Grandson of the late Herbert Hicks and Ceola Bently. Brother of James Hicks, Jr., Herbert Hicks, Andrew Hicks, Stacey Hicks, Patricia Watkins, Lorraine Sylve, Gwendolyn Lewis, Ceola Brown, Joann Hicks, and the late Larry Hicks, and Lillian Royal. Raymond is also survived by 2 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, members of Progressive Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Progressive Church 437 Cohen Street Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Apostle Sterling Mealancon, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above name church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
