Priscilla Alvis Lewis, age 79, transitioned on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Priscilla attended Valena C. Jones School and was formerly employed as Steamer at Deansgate Men’s Suit. She enjoyed shopping, dining out, and spending time with family and friends. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Lewis. Devoted mother of Ariel Lewis, Kesha (Tyrone) Robinson, and Kiary Mellon. Loving grandmother of E’Yonna Lewis, Kinara Smith, Myricle, Jeremiah, and Antonio Mellon, Jr. Daughter of the late Henry and Lucinda Smith Alvis. Sister of Barbara Alvis, Pearl Hollins, Louis Alvis, and the late Irma Smith, Myrtle Alvin, John, Clarence, Henry, and Peter Alvis. Priscilla is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Baptist Church and all neighboring church are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
