PHYLLIS WILLIAMS DUMAS

Phyllis Williams Dumas entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the age of 67. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Bridge City, LA. Phyllis was a retired certified nursing assistant with Masion Deville Nursing Home. Beloved wife of Malcolm Dumas. Loving mother of Claudette (James), Yolanda, Catina (Terry), Shantrel (Willie) Dewayne (Tiffany), Monique, Trenice (Orenthal), Quiana (Brandon), Rhonda (Jacques), Erniquia (Royal), Ernest (Faith), Christopher, and the late Bobby Ward, Jr. Grandmother of the late Willie Cooper.  Daughter of the late Wilbert Williams Sr. and Ella Mae Williams. Granddaughter of the late Steve and Josephine McCoy Doty, Doug and Mattie Lee Young Williams. Sister of Quinn (Etchrem), Kevin Williams, Kenneth (Brenda), Elliott, Lavell, and Patricia Williams, Shelia (Herman), Brenda (John), Cheryl (Johnny), Emelda (Ronald), Melisa (Justin) and the late Jerry and Wilbert Williams. Sister in law of Barbara Williams, also survived by 42 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
