PAUL JOSEPH BARRIERE

Paul Joseph Barriere, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the age of 91. He was a longtime resident of New Orleans, LA. Paul was a retired veteran, avid hunter, fisherman, and a self-employed bricklayer. Paw Paw as he was affectionately known by family and friends owned Barriere Brick Laying Blocks, LLC for over 60 years. Beloved husband of Sula M. Barriere. Devoted father of Erroll Barriere of CA, Pamela Barriere of WI, Gregory Barriere of IL, Gretchen (Doug) Franklin of MS, Paula (Brian) Matthews of MS, and Sharon (Kirk) David of LA, and the late Paul “HiFi” Barriere, III and Jenell “Pippi” Anderson. Son of the late Paul and Clara Barriere, also survived by 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, several extended relatives, and family friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Memorial Celebration at Household of Faith, 2074 Paxton St. Harvey LA. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Antoine Barriere officiating.
