PATRICIA R. THOMAS

Patricia R. Thomas entered eternal rest on Saturday February 17, 2024, at the age of 76. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Patricia was a graduate of L B Landry High School and was employed as a certified nurse assistant. She ended her career as a private duty nurse working for varies hospital on the Westbank.  Loving wife of Matthew Thomas. Devoted mother of Cicely, Chassidy, Christina, Pamela Thomas, and the late Christopher Thomas. Grandmother of the late Marquis Thomas. Daughter of the late Alphonse Henderson and Gertrude R. Gilson. Sister of Rena (Gail) Ventris, Kenneth Gilson, Brenda (Weldon) Marshall, Carolyn (Jimmy) Williams, Karen Pierre, and the late Lawrence A Gilson, Sr., Albert H. Gilson, Earl Gilson, Iris Henderson, Joyce Gilson, and the late Raymond Joseph Gilson, also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of  Shiloh Baptist Church, First Free Mission Baptist Church, St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Friendship Baptist Church of Jackson, MS, Beacon Light of Baton Rouge, LA, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral  Service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Aubry Wallace of Heavenly Star Missionary Baptist Church, officiating.
