ORIN D. GRANT, JR.

Orin Devon Grant, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the age of 20. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Orin was a graduate of New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (NORMA) and attended Nunez Community College. He was employed as a percussionist at several local churches. Beloved son of Rev. Dr. Orin D. Grant, Sr., and Myrna Audrict Grant. Grandson of Mureline Grant, Janet T. Audrict, the late Robert “Bob” Anderson, and James Audrict, III. Great grandson of the late William Grant, Jr., Mary W. Grant, Ferdinand Toval, and Agnes Toval. Loving brother of Travis (Ariell) Galle, and Ryan (Nadia) Galle. Uncle of Morgan and Aidan Galle. Orin is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of  St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, City of Refuge Church of New Orleans, St. Mark's Baptist Church, and neighboring churches; members of Westside Missionary Baptist Association are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L.B. Landry Ave, New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. until service time at the above-named church.
