Oralee “Sally” Jimcoily Roberson entered eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 87. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. She was a very cultivating and enthusiastic person, who loved cooking and having long winded conversations on the telephone. Two of her favorite dishes were mustard greens and Gumbo. Beloved wife of the late Earnest Roberson, Sr. Loving father of Ora L. Jimcoily (Garland, Sr.) Williams. Stepmother of Earnest, Jr. (Rose), Kenneth (Linda), and Wayne (Sharon) Roberson, and Shelia Bennett. Grandmother of Devon Shelly and Jeremiah Williams. Daughter of the late Gary Jimcoily, Sr. and Clara Berry Jimcoily. Sister of the late Myrtle J. Crawford, Gary, Jr., Milton, Oscar, Sr., Isaac, Sr., Albert, Sr. and Alex Jimcoily. Sister-in-law of Earline Armstrong and Stella Jimcoily. Devoted aunt of Joseph Jimcoily, Roger, Peter and Randolph Crawford, Evelyn Butler, Doris Cook and the late Shirley M. Felo. Godmother of Carolyn Jimcoily. Devoted friend Lorriane Perry, Alberta Ruffin and Emelda Bynum. Oralee is also survived by a host of step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to Passages Hospice, Cathy Felo, Cher Sylkes, Joan and Jadell Jimcoily for assisting during her illness. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
