OLA MAE WILLIAMS HARRIS

Ola Mae Harris entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 78. She was a native of White Castle, LA, and a resident of Westwego, LA. Ola Mae was a graduate of Lincoln High School and was employed for over 25 years as a Medical Billing and Coding Supervisor at West Jefferson Medical Center before retiring. She faithfully attended True Vine Baptist Church in Westwego for more than 50 years. She was the beloved wife of 65 years and 5 months to Clarence Harris. Loving mother of Keioka (Timothy) Harris, Ke’Shawn Harris (Keith) Pilart, Janae Harris, La’Shondra Harris, and the late Ronnie Harris. Great-grandmother of the late Terrance Videau. Daughter of the late Leonard Williams and Louise Scott. She was a devoted sister to Doretha (Willie) Brooks, Anna Rose Williams, Hazel (James) Fox, Annette Williams, Donna Williams, Leonard (Brenda) Williams, Michael Williams, and Gary Williams. Daughter-in-law of the late Tom Harris and Alice Kennedy Harris. Sister-in-law of Lionel (Patricia) Harris, Jerald (Joyce) Harris, Nellie Hill, and the late Barbara Harris, Janice Harris, Joyce Kennedy, Geraldine (Sam) Batiste, Alvin Harris, and Thomas Kennedy. Best friend of more than 60 years, Barbara Savage. Ola Mae is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers, and members of True Vine Baptist Church, along with all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at True Vine Baptist Church, 249 Sala Avenue, Westwego, LA, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Leander Johnson, officiating.
