Ola Mae “Miss Omae” James entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the age of 70. She was a native of Franklinton, LA and resident of Harvey, LA. Ola Mae was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School and was employed as a caregiver. She was an avid New Orleans Saints Fan, who also enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, and spending time with her kids, and grandchildren. Loving mother of Danielle Latrice (Percy III) Williams and Alvin Leon (Sherika) James, Sr. Devoted grandmother of Tyrone Williams, Jr., Alicia Ishman, Alvin James, Jr., DeMarcus Dalvin James, and Deann James. Great grandmother of Tavier Williams. Daughter of the late Thelma James Merrell. Stepdaughter of the late Esco Merrell. Sister of John James, Sr., Ben Wallace, and the late Lucille James Kennedy, Lionel Wallace, and Richard Patterson. Niece of the late Iristean Hart, Vianne Patterson, Lillean Brown, and Ada Mae Patterson. Ola Mae is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service at the parlor.
