NORMA JEAN BRANCH

Norma Jean Branch entered eternal rest at Merit Health River Region Hospital in Vicksburg, MS on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the age of 61. She was a native of Lake Providence, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Norma employed for many years as a screening supervisor for the Port of New Orleans. She was known for her strong work ethic, leadership, and vibrant personality. Norma enjoyed music, cooking, dressing up, doing her makeup, family gatherings, attending church, and spending time talking and laughing with friends. She loved life and had a feisty spirit and warm heart that made everyone feel welcomed. Loving mother of Crystal Branch, Johnny Fields, Kenneisha Keelen, Kenneth Keelen, and the late Jaheim Shavers. Cherished grandmother of Zuriel Branch, Journee Fields, and Zion Johnson. Daughter of the late Lillie Branch. Beloved sister of Wanda Branch (Killion), Linda Branch (Roosevelt), Melissa Burks, Mary Branch, Frances Wray, David Branch, James Branch (Debbie), Michael Burks, and the late George Washington, Johnny Washington, and John Paul Stubbs. Norma is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
