NATHAN COLEMAN, JR.

Nathan Coleman Jr. departed this life on Saturday December 15, 2024, at the age of 21. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Nathan’s education started with Head Start and continued at McDonough City Park Academy. Later, he attended the New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy, where he built strong discipline and a drive to succeed. Nathan was a creative and hardworking young man who started his own business as a motorcycle mechanic, using his skills to help and inspire others in his community. Sports were an important part of Nathan’s life. He loved playing football and baseball for the NORD St. Roch Park teams, where he formed close friendships and built great memories. Nathan had a passion for motorbikes and was proud to be part of the NOLA Bike Life community. Riding brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others who shared his enthusiasm. Devoted son of Earline Foy, and Nathan Coleman Sr. Bonus son of Tyran Miller and Deneisha Tate. Grandson of Elicia Foy (Cyrus Conaway), Robert Briggs (Tabitha), Reginald Lambert, Sherri Lee Chance (Edwin Johnson), Nathaniel Coleman Sr. (Belinda), Allen Chance (Demitrus), and Raymond Egana. Great grandson of Rita Lee, Jerry Lee and the late Daniel, Sr. and Eliria Foy. Boyfriend of Taylor Simms, his bonus son, Tahj Sims. Brother of Nayanna Coleman, Nakiya Coleman, Nyran Coleman, Nalon Coleman, Nyla Coleman, Nahja Coleman, and Kambran Parker. Great-nephew of the late Darren Foy. Godson of Anthony Satcher. Nathan’s extended family includes many bonus siblings, god brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Gentilly Baptist Church, Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Gentilly Baptist Church 5141 Franklin Ave. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Bishop Elect Derrick Beaulieu officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery-New Orleans, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
