MYLES H. BAILEY

Myles H. Bailey, Sr. entered eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the age of 86. He was a native of Donaldsonville, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Myles was educated in the Ascension Parish School System and attended Central Texas College. He served his country in the United States Army for 20 years and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Myles was employed with the civil service for 15 years and was the owner and operator of Bailey ‘s Home Repair. Beloved husband of Laura Lee Bailey. Devoted father of Regina Taylor, Ruth Franklin, Ellen Amos, Myles Bailey, Jr., Albertha Carter, Paula Mays, Kecha Delesbore, and the late Sabrina Hicks, and Terrance Bailey. Grandfather of the late Milton and Quamenious Pritchett. Great grandfather of the late Khamari Bellamy. Son of the late Joseph and Leola Bailey. Brother of Celestine, Mahaley, Geraldine, Joyce, and Louis Bailey. Myles is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of at Macedonia Church of God in Christ, St. John Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Macedonia Church of God in Christ 3015 Louisa St. New Orleans, LA on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Rosalyn Rayford officiating.
