MIRIAM JEFFERSON

Miriam Montz Jefferson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the age of 72. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong residence of Westwego, LA. She lived a life rooted in love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a mother in every sense of the word, raising and nurturing her grandchildren with endless patience, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her home was a place of comfort, her words were full of guidance, and her presence was a blessing to all who knew her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Beloved wife of the late Robert Jefferson. Loving mother of Charvella Jefferson, Theresa Jefferson and Stephanie (Joshua) Scott. Grandmother of Celeste, Seyon, Robert (Datrell), Cha’Von, Cornelsha, Cornelius, Kaya, Alayjah, and Frank. Great grandmother of Ala’Nah, Rojelio, Treliyah, Cassidy, Kinsley, and Jiya. Daughter of the late Robert Collins and Marion Montz. Sister of Betty Rhone and Robert Montz. Miriam was also survived by goddaughter Lyskisha Knoten Spencer, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Private Service Will Be Held.
