Milton Joseph Hensley, Sr. entered into eternal rest at his daughter’s residence on Monday, June 20, 2022. He was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Milton was educated in the Jefferson Parish Public School System. He was employed as a Welder for several years at Avondale Shipyard. Before his health began to decline, Milton was employed for 20 years as an Upholster at Performance Custom Interior in Marrero, LA. Loving father of Milton “Beanie” Hensley, Jr. and Myiosha (Brian) Simmons. Beloved son of the late Pleasant, Sr. and Mable Hensley. Devoted brother of Lawrence (Olivia), Pleasant, Jr. (Carol), David, and Rene (Renie) Hensley, Pastor Dianne Hensley, Elaine Paul, and the late Clarence, Charles and Laura Hensley, Barbara Scott, and Patricia Fleming. Also cherishing his memory is his devoted niece Carlette “Flossy” Durio, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Temple of Prayer and Praise Evangelist Ministries, Second Highway Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of Performance Custom Interior are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Apostle Dr. Ernest Matthews, Jr., officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
