MELVIN CHARLES BAKER

Melvin Charles Baker transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the age of 52. He was a native of New Orleans Louisiana and resident of Westwego, LA. Melvin was self-employed laborer. Loving companion of Clara Noel. Beloved son of the late Charlie Baker, Sr., and Alice Baker Jones. Loving grandson of the late Elnora Baker and Narcisse Jones. Beloved brother of Dorothy Baker Lewis, Henry Baker and the late Charlie Baker, Jr., Leonard Baker, Narcisse Baker, Maryann Baker, Sherryann Bridgewater, and Elnora Delmore Baker; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Rock Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Rock Baptist Church, 2300 Rochelle Street, Harvey, LA on Saturday, November 27, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Leonard Franklin, officiating.
