MARTIN FRANK GALLOT, SR.

Martin Frank Gallot, age 78, departed this life peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was a native of Opelousas, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Martin dedicated his life to service and hard work, spending many years as both a Police Officer and a Truck Driver. Known for his sharp wit and outgoing personality, he was often the neighborhood storyteller and family entertainer, always ready with a good laugh or memorable tale. He enjoyed watching sports and staying connected with those around him. Martin’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in all who knew him. Beloved husband of the late Valencia Williams-Gallot. Proud father of Dyanne Gallot Mack, Stacy Gallot, Martin F. Gallot, Jr. (Tiasia Prevost-Gallot), Maisie Gallot, and the late Casandra Gallot. Loving grandfather of Joshua Mack, Brittney Mack, Sydney Mack, Matthew Gallot Baker, Tahj Gallot, Tamia Gallot, Bryson Gallot, and Martin F. Gallot, III. Son of the late Freddie Thomas Gallot, Sr. and Loretta Marie Rene Gallot. Brother of Merlene Gallot Pichon, Freddie Gallot, Jr., Robert Gallot, and the late Richard J. Gallot, Sr. and Willie Mae Thibodeaux. Martin is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will forever remember his humor, warmth, and loving spirit.
