Marshall Sears entered eternal rest at Passage Hospice on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the age of 71. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, and a resident of Marrero, LA. Marshall was a self-employed landscaper and had various jobs throughout his life. He loved gardening and had a deep love for antique cars, especially classic Chevrolets. Beloved husband of Lenovia B. Sears for over 50 years. Loving father of Marshall Dwayne (Chassity) Sears, Sr. and Anya Clarisse Sears (Lawrence) Morris. Son of the late Robert Sears, Sr., and Elizabeth Marshall Sears. Grandson of the late Cleo Turner and Victoria Marshall. Brother of Amanda Johnson, Renita Pitts, Victoria C. Sears, Kevin Washington, and the late Marsha Lenox, Robert Sears, Jr., Raymos Sears, Lalita Cole, Roberta Sears, Phillip Sears, George Sears, and Lisette Sears. Marshall is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th Street Gretna, LA on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor T. A. Hodge, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
