Marshall “Mickey” Robertson, Jr. entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the age of 82. He was a native of Paradis, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Marshall was a graduate of Carver High School in Hahnville, LA, and served his country as a member of the United States Army. After completing his military service, Marshall began a 22 year career as a Roustabout with Texaco Oil Refinery. “Mickey”, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, loved to fish and hang out with the fellas reminiscing about old times. Beloved husband for over 49 years to Valerie Griffin Robertson. Loving father of James Michael Robertson, Marc Robertson, Valene Robertson-Pulley, Brandon Robertson, Sr., and Keiana Robertson; he was also instrumental in the rearing of his niece Michelle Jones, whom he loved as a daughter. Son of the late Marshall Robertson, Sr. and Ora Butler Robertson. Brother of the late Charles Robinson, Sr. Father-in-law of Zina Roberston and Albert “Dre” Pulley. Son-in-law of the late Clarence, Sr. and Leona Griffin. Brother-in-law of Clarence Griffin, Jr., Joyce Brown, Patricia Johnson, and the late Allen Griffin, Ronald Jones, Eula Robinson, and Janice Jones. Godfather of Joshua Young, Brittany Robinson Barthlomew, Carolyn Robertson, Kijuana Griffin, Sterling White, and Barry White. Also cherishing his memories are 11 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of First Baptist Church of Paradis, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Baptist Church of Paradis, 14571 Old Spanish Trail (LA 631), Paradis, LA on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Justin Robinson, officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Mount Airy Memorial Park Cemetery-Boutte, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
