Marion Edwards Jones, age 78, entered peacefully into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. She was a native of Kenner, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Marion was a graduate of John H. Martyn High School and continued her studies at Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO). Although Marion was the former director/operator of M. J.’s Daycare, her true occupation was wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Beloved wife of Warren Jones. Devoted mother of Rosalind (Jerry) Peterson, Rene (Anna) Jones, Sheree (Ronald) Valentine, Carlos (Cierra) Jones, and the late Warren Jones, Jr. Daughter of the late Leroy Edwards, Sr. and Edna M. Edwards. Granddaughter of the late Thomas and Edna Hargrove. Loving sister of Norman Edwards, Lois Edwards-Payton, Veronica Edwards, and the late Leroy Edwards, Jr., Donald Edwards, and Diana Prater. Also left to cherish her memories are 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Monday, August 22, 2022, at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Charles Hurst of Oakland Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
