MARILYN MADISON ELDER

Marilyn Madison Elder, a homemaker, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the age of 76. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. She attended Booker T. Washington High School, and was formerly employed as a housekeeper, a cook, and as a nanny. Beloved wife of the late Bernell O. Elder I. Loving mother of Vanisha N. Jackson and Bernell O. Elder II; bonus mother of Floyd Jackson. Daughter of the late Alexander and Doretha Madison. Sister of the late Celestine, Dorothy, Mercedes, Althea, Lee Roland, Louis, and Alexander. Marilyn is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.
